RESPECT LIFE COMMITTEE

 

1. Description of Ministry
 
Monthly meetings - plan different events:
1) Fall flea market - all profits go to organizations that help women in crisis pregnancies.
2) Respect Life Sunday - sell stick-on roses (money collected goes to educational materials)
3) Speak to youth group on related topics.
4) In January - Meditation after Communion on related topic.
5) Mother’s Day Red Rose Sale - profits are used for educational materials.
6) Invite speaker during Lent.
2. Frequency/Schedule of Meetings/Activities
  Meet once a month - on church grounds at 7:30PM in the evening - days vary according to members’ schedule - meeting is usually 90 minutes long. Once in a while view a video on related topic.
3. Where do I perform service?
  Someone in the ministry will be able to provide a ride to anyone interested in attending a meeting who might not have transportation.
4. Who are served?
  Parish members and their families when we invite a speaker; it is open to the whole community. When we collect baby items, it is for the community. The profits from the flea market help the people of the community.
