RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
| 1. | Description of Ministry |
| To provide a Catholic religious education for the public and private school parish children, pre-school through 8th grade including sacramental preparation. Also provides the coordination in preparing all parish children with their parents for the sacraments of Reconciliation; Eucharist and Confirmation. | |
| 2. | Frequency/Schedule of Meetings/Activities |
| Classes meet once a week for a total of at least 30 hours per year from September through April. | |
| 3. | Where do I perform service? |
| Classes meet on the church grounds on Sunday mornings. Some classes also meet in the teacher's homes at various times during the week. | |
| 4. | Who are served? |
| Open to all parish children ages 3 1/2 years old through 8th grade. | |
| 5. | Preparation |
| Catechists are encouraged to work towards certification. Courses are offered three times a year at St. John's parish. | |
