ADULT EDUCATION

1. Description of Ministry
 

Training in religion/spirituality for Catechists in religious education program and teachers in the Catholic School.
Adult Enrichment Committee – planning group meets as needed on Monday evenings in the Convent to plan religious enrichment offerings.

2. Frequency/Schedule of Meetings/Activities
 

Usually three Catechist Courses per year (each made up of seven two hour-plus meetings.)  Courses are offered at two times: Wednesday afternoon's and Thursday evenings.
Adult Enrichment Events: Number of events is determined by what else is being planned for the parish generally, such as Lenten series, Missions, etc.

3. Where do I perform service?
  Catechist Courses: School Library - Wednesday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
Adult Enrichment Events: Stevenson Center – evenings available.
4. Who are served?
 

Catechists and Teachers from parish, cluster, and Delaware County area.  Courses are advertised with the Archdiocesan Religious Education Office.
Adult Enrichment Events: Parishioners and persons in the area who are interested in events presented.

5. Preparation
  For Catechists and Teachers in parishes - interest in being certified for religious education.
For Adult Enrichment Committee: Interest in adult enrichment and ability to devote some time to the planning effort.
